Whelk metal print by Sarah Grangier. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Artist's Description
This is a still life painting I did of a whelk shell. I wanted to try painting some different subject matter than my typical marsh scenes and florals. I placed a strong light source behind the shell to create highlights and dark shadows. The original painting is in a large plein aire style gold leaf crackle frame.
About Sarah Grangier
Sarah Watson Grangier is a professional wildlife artist who graduated from Salisbury University with honors and a Bachelor's Degree in Art, in May 2003. Some of her artistic honors include 2nd place in the National Juried Exhibition "Light and Shadow," at the Fredericksburg (VA) Center for the Creative Arts, in November 2012, Best of Show in the Ward World Wildlife Painting Competition in 2003, and Artist of the Year for Pocomoke River, MD Chapter Ducks Unlimited in 2007. Some recent major accomplishments include illustrating two books. First, a cookbook by Bill Kendle titled, "Healthy Eating Made Easy," and second, "Bob the Big Bad Bluefish," a fantastic children's book by Bernadette Gesser.
